Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to keep. Related technologies — local storage and session storage — do much the same job using a different mechanism. Because Daxureli is a reading site with no accounts, no shop and no advertising, we need almost none of this, and this policy exists mainly to tell you exactly how little is in use.

1. What is stored when you visit

The table below is a complete list. Nothing else is written to your device by daxureli.info.

2. What we deliberately do not use

• No advertising or retargeting cookies. The site carries no advertising, so there is nothing to retarget.
• No cross-site tracking. We do not embed social widgets, tracking pixels, conversion tags or fingerprinting scripts.
• No third-party analytics platform. Our reading figures come from aggregate server-side page counts that identify nobody.
• No content delivery networks for assets. Stylesheets, scripts, fonts and images are served from this domain, so no external provider learns which pages you opened.
• No profiling or automated decision-making. Nothing on this site changes based on assumptions about who you are.

3. Why the notice appears at all

The entry described above is strictly necessary, in the sense that its only function is to honour a preference you expressed. We still show the notice because we think readers are entitled to know what a site keeps on their device, even when the honest answer is “one line”. Choosing “Essential only” and choosing “Fine by me” currently produce identical technical behaviour — there is no optional category to switch on.

4. Removing what has been stored

You can delete the stored entry at any point by clearing site data for daxureli.info in your browser settings. The notice will then reappear on your next visit, which is the expected behaviour rather than a fault.

• Chrome and Edge — Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and other site data, then See all site data and permissions.
• Firefox — Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data, then Manage Data.
• Safari on macOS — Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data.
• Safari on iOS and iPadOS — Settings app, then Safari, then Advanced, then Website Data.
• Android browsers — Settings, then Privacy, then Clear browsing data, selecting cookies and site data.

Blocking storage entirely will not break this site. The only visible consequence is that the notice at the foot of the page cannot remember your answer and will be shown each time.

5. Server logs are separate

The request logs kept by our hosting provider are not cookies and are not affected by your choice on the notice. They record the page requested, a timestamp, a status code and a truncated IP address, and they are deleted within 30 days. Their handling is described in section 3 of our Privacy Policy.

6. Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce a genuinely optional storage category — which we have no plan to do — this page will be updated first, the notice will be changed to offer a real choice, and the change will be described in the Friday digest.
